The Liga Basear de Fútbol Base Cartagena celebrates its XXV anniversary in this season 2017-2018, so it will carry out a series of activities to celebrate it.
In this edition 202 teams participate, 43 clubs and about 4000 participants between players, technicians and referees.
Those in charge of presenting the activities that will be developed throughout this season have been the Councilor for Sports, Obdulia Gómez;
the president of the Cartagena Football Club Foundation, Isidoro García Martínez;
and the representative of the delegation of Cartagena of the Association of Referees of the Football Federation, Juan Alonso Marchena.
The councilor has anticipated that next Sunday will take advantage of the rest time of the game at the Municipal Stadium Cartagonova against Mérida to make a small competition by categories with participants in the Liga de Fútbol Base 2017/2018.
The field of play will be divided into 8 minicamposs so that during 5 minutes it plays a representation by categories of the Liga de Fútbol Base.
Subsequently, Gómez has informed that a group photo will be made with the banners of the League and will be projected in the video marked of the Stadium images with moments from the past Leagues.
He also announced that in April there will be a Health and Nutrition Day in the sport in which melons will be distributed for the tasting of the players by the hand of Jimbo Fresh.
In addition, lectures will be given to formative conferences for coaches and leaders in collaboration with the Football Federation and Universities, as well as a special program with the Cadena Ser and other media with rotation of interviews to each participating club in the championship.
The mayor has indicated that the county league has 25 years of promoting football at an early age in order to educate children and young people in sporting values ​​and detect the sports talents that find their future in professional football.
He also added that it is a championship open to all children, regardless of their level of football, interested in educating in healthy, social and sports habits and that has served as a base for players like Sergio Jiménez, Gonzalo Verdú , Héctor Yuste, Quinín, Carlos Molina, Álvaro Muñiz and Juan Antonio Ros, among others.
Gomez has stressed that this league is a regional reference, as in addition to Cartagena, participating schools and clubs of base football in the municipalities of Los Alcázares, La Union, San Javier, San Pedro del Pinatar, Fuente Alamo, Torre Pacheco and Murcia .
He has also stressed the national importance of the league, as it has been praised by many institutions where they have room from the bottle category to the cadet, aged between 4 and 16 years, "where a female category is also promoted from seasons behind".
On the other hand, the president of the Foundation of the Football Club Cartagena, Isidoro García Martínez, has indicated that from the foundation they will facilitate the tickets already to all the children of the local league to see the activities scheduled for Sunday and thanked the City Hall its sports work.
He also indicated that OPEL will give its six penalties to representatives of the local league.
Finally, the representative of the delegation of Cartagena of the College of Referees of the Football Federation, Juan Alonso Marchena has emphasized the importance of the regional league both for the training of children, and the referees.
As indicated, there are currently 118 arbitrators in Cartagena and 15 of them have completed the course of applicants, of which 10 are boys and 5 are girls.
