The Board of Directors of Lhicarsa, in which the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, participated;
the councilor of the Municipal Services Area, Juan Pedro Torralba;
and the Councilor for Culture, David Martínez, has decided to launch a Technical Commission this week with a twofold objective: to immediately launch the City Cleanup Shock Plan and resolve possible breaches of the contract by the dealer company of the cleaning and garbage collection service.
The mayor has expressed concern about the lack of cleanliness in the streets of the municipality and has demanded that immediately start up the Shock Plan that the company presented a few months ago in order to adapt the most deteriorated areas of the municipality, which are mainly located in El Ensanche and in neighborhoods and county councils.
"The Technical Commission is going to establish immediately, that is, this same week, where this Shock Plan will start and the deadlines that it must follow.
The complaints of citizens are many and we can not allow this situation to continue.
In fact, we have committed ourselves to inform the residents of this plan and the deadlines that we are going to follow, "said the mayor.
On the other hand, the director of the contract issued a report on July 20, 2017, which included a series of breaches by Lhicarsa such as:
1. Lack of personnel
2. Lack of justification for reinvestments
3. The lease of land for the Mina Regente landfill is not sufficiently justified
4. Revenue from the sale of by-products generated in the urban solid waste treatment plant
5. Income from the sale of paper and cardboard in selective collection
6. Installation of two clean points in the municipality
