The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, received on Monday, February 5, the representatives of the platform of the Salary Justice of Police and Civil Guards (Jusapol), which claim the salary equalization of the National Police and the Civil Guard with the police autonomic, to which he has shown his support.

Castejón has indicated that his requests are "fair, dignified and legitimate" and, for this reason, will promote an institutional declaration of support in the next municipal plenary session, to be held on February 12.

The mayor has also committed to bring this issue to debate in the Federation of Municipalities of the Region, of which she is vice president.

"All the municipalities in our region must be aware of this demand that only requires equality with other public safety professionals, something that I believe should be done without delay," he said.
