The Informative Commission of Finance and Interior, gathered this morning under the presidency of the councilor responsible for the area, Carmen Martin, unanimously unanimously ruled on the proposal of the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, to begin the process of awarding the Medal de Oro de Cartagena, to Antonio Bermejo Hurtado, better known as the "Cura Obrero" of Vista Alegre, in attention to the "remarkable services" rendered to the municipality of Cartagena through "his great labor and humanitarian demand", developed as throughout his "intense and fruitful existence".
The proposal has been endorsed by the request of the Cartagena Centro Citizen Platform, which has submitted signatures of signatures of more than a thousand citizens, and the neighborhood councils of Alumbres and El Llano del Beal.
The Commission has also favorably ruled unanimously the proposal of the Mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, to request the Institute of Tourism of the Region of Murcia, the declaration of Regional Tourist Interest Party for Pelotas Galileas de Pozo Estrecho.
As stated in the proposal is a demonstration that neighbors have been developing, the day of his employer San Fulgencio, since almost 50 years ago and that delves into the traditional values ​​of hospitality and joy that, despite their adversities, has always characterized the men and women of the Campo de Cartagena
NOMINATIONS
In the section of nominations of streets, squares and public spaces, the Commission has unanimously ruled unanimously four files.
The first of them leads to the nomination of a space located in the University District, at the confluence of Lagueneta, San Crispin and Lealtad streets, such as María Teresa Cervantes Square, in tribute to the Cartagena writer and poet and recognition for her extraordinary literary and teaching career in Paris and Bonn.
The nomination had been requested by the Lucerna Cultural Association.
The second of the nominations has been the Calle del Trovero Ángel Roca, which has been assigned to a recently opened street that connects the old Plaza de López Pinto, now Plaza de la Puerta de al Serreta, with San Fernando Street. .
His nomination had been requested by various entities and associations of the municipality.
The third was located at the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center, where the exhibition hall on its ground floor will be renamed the Carlos Gallego exhibition hall, in memory and tribute to the press photographer and reporter, who developed his professional career with recognized success. He died in 2005. This nomination had been requested by the Association of Press Graphic Informers of the Region of Murcia (AIG).
Finally, there was the Andrés Bernabé Balleteros Park, requested by the Los Popos Neighborhood Association.
It is a green area between Cuzco, Monte Atalaya and Monte Ventura streets of the Alcalde de Cartagena and La Vaguada urbanizations, which will be named after this neighbor who created his creation more than twenty-five years ago and has maintained it ever since.
REGULATIONS OF THE CULTURE COUNCIL
Among other issues, the Commission has also favorably ruled unanimously the proposal of the councilor of the area of ​​Culture, Education, Youth and Heritage, David Martinez, for the approval of the Regulation of the Council of Culture of Cartagena.
It is an advisory and consultative body with which it wants to give more participation in the cultural management to the representatives of the different sectors and agents of the cultural world, and that in its first phase of operation will have a prominent role in the preparation and approval of the Municipal Culture Plan of Cartagena.
This council will be structured through a plenary session that will meet at least once every six months and will be chaired by the mayor or person delegated;

performing arts;
music;
reading, books and libraries;
cinema and audiovisual;
cultural heritage and popular culture;
science and thought;
diversity and interculturality and transversality.
