The Association of Relatives and Friends of the Alzheimer's Disease of Cartagena and Region, has received a grant of 3,000 euros from the Obra Social La Caixa that will be allocated to the computer equipment renovation project.
CaixaBank has been supporting initiatives carried out by Afal for three years aimed at improving the services provided to users with neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer's.
Today the symbolic act of delivery of the grant was made by the delegate of the Business Area of ​​CaixaBank for Cartagena, Carlos Merelo and the director of the office of the Plaza de España, Diego Giménez to the coordinator of Afal Cartagena, Sonia Gayoso.
The manager of Afal, Raúl Nieto explained that this aid "recognizes the work done by the association" that in the last year has seen an increase in the number of pathologies, so it expects to receive other CaixaBank grants for different projects that are underway.
