The councilor of the Area of ​​Culture, Education, Youth and Archaeological Heritage, David Martínez Noguera, visited on Tuesday, January 30, the José María de la Puerta school for the celebration of Peace Day.
The children of the center prepared under the coordination of their teachers various activities and murals for the commemoration of this day.
The councilman of Education took advantage of the celebration to ask the school children to transmit the message of peace throughout the year and to be supportive and good companions both among them and at home.
After their intervention, two girls presented a rose in appreciation to the councilor for his visit.
In addition to decorating the school with murals and posters commemorating this Peace Day, the children of the different courses prepared a choreography.
The students were dressed in t-shirts of different colors to create among all the drawing of the waves of the sea and the symbol of peace.
David Martínez took advantage of his visit to the CEIP José María de la Puerta to see the final result of the renovated toilets of the center and collect the demands of the AMPA and the board of the school for the improvements that can be undertaken.
As the Councilor for Education assured the director of the school, Juan Lopez, will also proceed shortly to the removal of asbestos plates that cover the sports hall of the school.
