The head of the regional executive meets in Cartagena with the president of the Hoteliers Association of Cartagena y Comarca (Hostecar)

The head of the regional executive, Fernando López Miras, met today in Cartagena with the president of the Hotel and Catering Association of Cartagena and District (Hostecar), Juan José López, with whom he addressed several projects carried out by the sector, and analyzed the importance that will have the arrival of the AVE and the opening of the International Airport of the Region of Murcia, "infrastructures that will transform the way of understanding tourism in the Region", as indicated by the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Environment, Javier Celdrán, at the end of the meeting.

Celdrán pointed out that "the implementation of new infrastructures will allow Cartagena and the region to position themselves, even more, as a tourism power in three fundamental products such as sun and beach tourism, which is the most classic and powerful and in which we must continue working to diversify and deseasonalize;

the patrimonial and cultural product, where Cartagena has a lot of potential and much to offer;

and nautical sports tourism, "he said.

In this sense, the counselor informed that during the meeting between the regional chief executive and the president of Hostecar, the current state of the Mar Menor was also addressed, as well as some campaigns that can be carried out to continue supporting the sector.
