Agents of the Local Police of Cartagena detained a man yesterday afternoon, after a worker of a multi-store business of the Polígono Cabezo Beaza denounced that while he was at his workplace he had grabbed her from behind and taken her to the warehouse threatening her with a knife, where he stole her cell phone and ordered her to stay there until he left the establishment.
The victim of the robbery said that he left the store and saw that people entered the store, which caused the robber to flee the store.
According to the police report, the detainee's wife called in minutes "visibly upset" to the switchboard to report that "her husband's head had gone."
The woman explained to the agents that during the afternoon she went with her husband and her son in the car, when the detainee told him that he was going to buy something in the multi-price establishment.
The woman added that minutes later her husband left the shop very nervous and that when he arrived in Cartagena he told him what had happened and that he had repented, as well as that he intended to give himself up.
She also said that her husband was in a nearby establishment reassuring himself.
The agents took over at that time the stolen phone and the knife that had intimidated the saleswoman, who gave them the woman.
While the policemen were holding the conversation with the detainee's wife, a man approached them, pointing out that there was a suspect in the backyard of a nearby building.
The agents went to the scene and found the author of the robbery with intimidation, declaring that he was sorry and that his head had gone because he had changed his medication, after which the agents proceeded to arrest him.
