The Pozo Estrecho Civic Center will host from the 3rd of February to the 7th of April the XXIV edition of the Pozo Estrecho Theater Competition, presented by the Councilor of the Culture, Education and Youth Area, on the morning of January 29, David Martínez Noguera, along with the president of the contest, César Segura, and the vice president, Francisco García.

The inauguration of the contest will be carried out by the company Saga Producciones with the representation of the musical work The Phantom of the Opera.

The function will take place next Saturday, February 3 at 9 pm at the Civic Center.

During the course of the contest will be three works prepared by people from Pozo Estrecho.

The La Aurora Theater Group will perform La Eterna Doña Juana, by Adrián Quiñones, and Bajarse al Moro, directed by Bernardo Catasús, while the group Entreparéntesis, which will perform for the first time this year, will perform the work Las Nubes , directed by Raquel Catasús.

Martínez has emphasized the variety of genres with which we will have during this edition, such as dance, comedy, musical or historical works of classical theater, at the same time that he has invited the residents of Cartagena to attend especially the works made by "the Galileans and the Galileans", since some have studied in Dramatic Art and "have made their hobby their profession".

For his part, the president of the contest, César Segura, thanked the collaboration of the City of Cartagena and the Neighborhood Board, as well as the author of the poster this year, Javier Lorente;

the sculptor Maite Defruc, responsible for making the awards given by the La Aurora Group and Beatriz Segura, who carries out the posters of the works that will be performed by Pozo Estrecho groups, who have collaborated in a disinterested manner.

Finally, the vice president of the contest, Francisco García, has reported that apart from the sponsorship of the City of Cartagena and the Neighborhood Board of Pozo Estrecho, they have developed some 20 euros to enjoy the theater of Pozo Estrecho in full.
