The mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, visited on Friday, January 26, the ship of Maritime Rescue Clara Campoamor, docked in Cartagena, whose crew thanked the magnificent work carried out.
With this visit the city of Cartagena wanted to recognize and thank the work they did last November during the crisis of the boats, which brought hundreds of immigrants to the coast of Cartagena.
The Maritime Rescue vessel Clara Campoamor is characterized by its versatility in three main aspects: the rescue of people;
the fight against marine pollution, since they have the capacity to collect waste at sea;
and assistance and towing to ships and other maritime operations.
