Castejón explained that he will continue working "tirelessly" to make programming as ambitious as possible to claim more visitors and more tourists throughout the year, while highlighting his commitment to take advantage of all the tools they have from the City Council to encourage hotel investment in the coastal area of ​​Cartagena.
"In the end it is about having more hotel rooms, having small, medium and hopefully, large projects, which serve to continue presuming that from Cartagena we will continue to bet on quality tourism that serves to improve our local economy," he said. the mayor, at the same time that she has warned that she has informed Hostetur of the tax credits aimed at boosting investment in hotel complexes in Cartagena.
FREE STAYS FOR CIVIL GUARDS AND POLICE GUARDS
For his part, José María Cano, member of the board of directors of Hostetur, who has attended the meeting accompanied by his colleagues M.ª del Mar Martínez and José Ángel Díaz, has indicated that they have taken advantage of the meeting to discuss the problems of the sector tourism for the coming season.
Also, Cano has said that Hostetur has planned a project that consists of giving 200 stays along the Costa Cálida to police and civil guards who have been in recent months in Catalonia.
The project will be developed on the weekend of April 14 and 15 and several apartments, campsites and hotels have collaborated in it, which according to their purchasing power have contributed the places they have been able to.
He also explained that on Saturday morning there will be a visit to emblematic places on the coast, as well as Cartagena, and in the evening there will be a welcome party in La Manga to which all regional authorities have been invited, as well as to the civil guards and policemen that go that weekend.
For its part, the mayor of Cartagena has shown its commitment to offer a program "as ambitious as possible" during the weekend of April 14 and 15 with the aim of letting visitors know the benefits of the municipality.
