Palacio Molina inaugurates the Arte / 3 exhibition on Friday (25/01/2018)

The Molina Palace will host from January 26 to March 7 the exhibition "Art / 3", by the artists Lola López Moreno, Juan Antonio Moltó Grenon and Bibiana Soledad Sánchez Arenas.

The inauguration will take place on January 26 at 7:30 p.m. at the Palacio Molina, located on Calle Jara in Cartagena, and will be attended by the Councilor for Culture, Education and Youth, David Martínez Noguera.

The exhibition can be visited from Tuesday to Friday in the mornings from 10 am to 2 pm and afternoons from 5 pm to 8 pm, and on weekends from 11 am to 2 pm, while on Monday it will remain closed.

Bibiana Soledad Sánchez was born in Cartagena, although she currently resides in Alicante.

His multidisciplinary work has allowed him to make works using different techniques such as photography, engraving, sculpture, performance and artistic installation.

She has a PhD in Fine Arts from the Miguel Hernández University and has done work for several exhibitions in the Valencian Community.

For this common artistic project three lines of research in progress are proposed, whose nexus of union is the study and analysis of the human figure, through fragmentation, deformation and absence of corporal representation, converging in the construction of narratives with their own language .

For Juan Antonio Moltó there is a direct consequence in the observation and it is the imagination.

We see, we observe, we think and we imagine.

In our mind, each one of those visions is unique and unrepeatable.

We live it intensely, but then we remember it vaguely, distorted, blurred, deformed ... to the point of seeing beauty in something indefinite.

Body deformation under the imaginative filter of memory.

In the work of Lola López, the female figure is represented solitary and absent, oblivious to the gaze of the spectator, and paradoxically, it becomes visible, through the observer.

With an intimate painting, this artist emphasizes the ability to transmit feelings and emotions using a reduced color palette, in which the red color stands out as the guiding thread.

Finally, Bibiana Soledad Sánchez Arenas proposes an artistic installation to intervene in the space using her autobiographical memory.

Having as main references the family garden, the feminine and masculine lineage, and the Life as a beautiful and ephemeral transit.

The physical family absences are remembered and commemorated, through different objects, materials and techniques, predominating velvet and ornamental forms, as a recreation of the palatial context that houses this exhibition.
