The final of the Pasodobles Contest of Pozo Estrecho is approaching.
The Pozo Estrecho Civic Center will host the final of the 26th Edition of the Pasodobles International Musical Composition Competition 'Villa de Pozo Estrecho' on January 27 at 8:30 p.m.
The councilor of the area of ​​Culture, Education and Youth, David Martínez Noguera explained that this year have involved composers from Finland, Portugal, France, Italy and Belgium, among others, at the same time that has qualified that next Saturday will be known final failure.
Also, the mayor has indicated that the Musical Artistic Society Santa Cecilia will be responsible for interpreting the pasodobles finalists, which according to Martinez, are unpublished and has indicated that the author of the poster this year is Javier Lorente.
For its part, the president of the Neighborhood Association "San Fulgencio" Pozo Estrecho, Sonia Montoya, announced the three finalists of the contest, which are Lionel Beltrán with pasodoble "Ohana", Fernando Lizara with "The funniest percussion" and Miguel Ángel Sarrió with "Amistad".
Montoya has stated that the first prize will be a diploma and 2,000 euros, while the second and third will receive a diploma and a trophy.
He also took the opportunity to thank the band for their work and the involvement of the City of Cartagena, especially in the area of ​​Culture.
Finally, he recalled that Javier Pérez composed the pasodoble Carmencita for the 2008 edition and won the first prize, which was the starting signal for the career of the artist and has encouraged composers to participate in future editions.
