The Teatro Circo Apolo of El Algar will host on January 27 at 6:00 pm the performance of the show "Oliver Twist, the little orphan", which received the Best Children's Show 2017 Award. The organization of the show has explained that this work is conceived as a show for a family audience, based on the original novel by Charles Dickens.

Oliver Twist is the story of a young orphan who goes in search of a better future and who first faces the harsh law of the streets of London.

"Oliver reminds us of many other stories of children and adolescents trying to get out of that marginal world in our day," they have indicated.

Charles Dickens "tried to influence with his writings in the Victorian society in which he lived, and in one way or another he succeeded in exposing to the public opinion problems that cried out to heaven", they added.

But who is Oliver Twist?

Those responsible for the work have stressed that first of all Oliver is a child, "a small battered by society in which he lives and decides to escape his bad luck by fleeing people who do not consider him more than an orphan."

"Without anyone to defend and want, start your adventure with the hope of a more prosperous life, while traveling through the dark fabric of London society," they added.
