Artists of urban culture and the Chamber Orchestra of the Conservatory of Music of Cartagena will be merged on February 3 from 7 pm in front of the Palace of Cartagena for the celebration of the Symphonic Rap 2018. The councilor of the Culture area, Education and Youth, David Martínez Noguera, presented this activity on Friday, January 19, which takes place within the framework of the Urbanct program.
Some of the artists invited to this event are Vince, Black & White, Ali Beats, Chulo Delgado, Berrebe, Dammy, DJ Hardem, Suzio Mur, Due MC, Bushido Records, Dyba and Artemc & La P Wey.
The councilor noted that the Urbanct emerged as an activity for the night of the museums in 2016 to "give visibility to the different expressions of urban culture that occur in our city."
He also explained that the success of participation made "a long-term project was proposed whose purpose was to give the urban culture of Cartagena the prominence it deserves."
"Always under the principles of respect, equality and alternative leisure," he added.
It has also indicated that this program carried out in its first year of life 10 free sessions in its headquarters, the Youth Resource Center, some of them thematic, as were the Hip Hop specials of December, the Hip Hop Fem, dedicated to the figure of the woman on the occasion of March 8, the 2nd edition of the Urban Night CT during the Night of the Museums or the Symphonic Rap.
The mayor has said that this year's Urbanct is "bringing urban culture to schools and colleges," as well as "help the new artists to publicize their work."
Finally Martinez has emphasized the importance of covering all those young people who demand their own space.
