Firefighters of the Firefighting, Salvage and Civil Protection Service of the City of Cartagena have rescued this Friday, January 19, a woman who was trapped inside her vehicle after colliding with a tractor.
The accident took place on highway RM-F35, between Cartagena and La Aparecida, around 7:41 in the morning.
After being rescued and stabilized by the health staff of the Emergency Mobile Unit, the woman, aged 42, was transferred to the Santa Lucía university hospital, where she has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit after suffering serious injuries.
The informants who called the Emergency Coordination Service 112 warned that the driver of the tractor was unharmed, but that the driver of the other vehicle involved was injured and trapped inside.
The firefighters of Cartagena and a Mobile Emergency Unit (UME) of the Emergency Management and Sanitary Emergencies 061 were mobilized to the site. Local Police officers from Cartagena and Civil Guard also appeared at the scene of the accident.
