Due to the indisposition of the lecturer, Francisco Calvo Garzón, professor at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Murcia, has been suspended until further notice the talk with which this afternoon was going to open the program cycle Read, Think and Imagine the Josefina Soria Library, at the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center, at 8:00 p.m.

The conference, entitled 'Vegetal Cognition: The Next Revolution', had plans to put biosafety issues on the table.

Thus the philosopher Francisco Calvo was going to explain to the assistants that the plants are intelligent insofar as their behavior is not only adaptive, but also flexible and anticipatory.

This fact allows them to develop proactively, making decisions in the face of environmental contingencies.

Francisco Calvo was going to be accompanied by the professor of the Plant Physiology Department of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (ETSIA UPCT), Mª Ángeles Ferrer, in charge of presenting the conference.

This talk, organized by the Department of Culture of the City of Cartagena also had the collaboration of the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Murcia and its entry was free until full capacity.
