The Local Government Board approved this morning, at the proposal of the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, the appointment of Ángeles López Cánovas, as the new general coordinator of Sustainable Development, replacing Jesús Giménez Gallo.
López Cánovas, born in Murcia in 1977, is a doctor of law and practicing lawyer.
As the mayor has pointed out, his extensive curriculum includes numerous multidisciplinary courses, both in Commercial (Bankruptcy), Civil, Criminal, and Administrative Law;
and extensive professional experience as director of the Legal Services of the López Rejas Group until 2009 and as a practicing lawyer since 2007. She is an expert in Civil and Administrative Law, and specialist in urban law, banking law, real estate and registry law, contracts , Family and inheritance law.
She also highlights her teaching activity as an associate professor at the Department of Civil Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Murcia, counting on the publication of articles and books related to aspects of land and urban planning and real estate, between others.
FIVE MAYORS OF MAYOR
The mayor has given an account in the Governing Board of the appointment of the lieutenants of the mayor, who will keep in their order a parity between men and women.
So after Ana Belén Castejón, the first deputy mayor will be Juan Pedro Torralba;
followed by Carmen Martín del Amor, Francisco Aznar, Obdulia Gómez and David Martínez Noguera.
The five, together with the mayor, make up the current Local Government Board.
SIX MUNICIPAL AREAS
As the mayor announced a few days ago, the areas of municipal government are the following:
Government Area of ​​SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT AND PUBLIC FUNCTION, whose holder is Francisco Aznar García.
The areas of Human Resources, New Technologies and Innovation, Citizen Security, Public Roads, Urban Planning and Portal and Transparency Office are integrated into this area.
Government Area of ​​PUBLIC SERVICES.
CITIZEN PARTICIPATION AND FESTEJOS, at the head of which Juan Pedro Torralba Villada is located.
They are matters of its competition: Infrastructures, Litoral, Decentralization, Citizen Participation and Celebrations.
Government Area of ​​ECONOMIC STRATEGY AND HACIENDA, which corresponds to María del Carmen Martín del Amor, with competence in the areas of Local Finance, Contracting, Heritage, Commerce, Industry and Tourism.
Government Area of ​​QUALITY OF LIFE AND WELFARE, whose owner is Obdulia Gómez Bernal and covers the subjects of Health, Consumption, Sports, Environment, Rural Development, Agriculture and Fisheries.
Government Area of ​​CULTURE, EDUCATION AND YOUTH, which corresponds to David Martínez Noguera, and is composed of the subjects of Culture, Education, Youth and Archaeological Heritage.
Government Area of ​​SOCIAL SERVICES, EMPLOYMENT AND EQUALITY, headed by the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón.
In addition, the Governing Board has approved the appointment of municipal representatives in the different public bodies and entities in which the City Council has participation, as well as the delegation of some of the powers of the Governing Board to area councilors, among which it highlights the faculty of these to approve expenses and the hiring of services and works for an amount lower than 18 thousand euros plus VAT, with the aim of streamlining the management and avoiding the current overload of work of the hiring table.
This limit was up to now at six thousand euros.
