Cartagena already has everything ready to give the best and most attractive image of the city in FITUR, the great national tourism fair that takes place from January 17 to 21 in Madrid, concentrating the latest proposals, destinations and novelties of the sector worldwide , with the participation of more than 140,000 professionals.
A platform that will serve in this edition to highlight two strong points of the city, the Fiestas de Carthagineses y Romanos and Holy Week, through the latter of the launching of a Cofrade Route, all seasoned with samples of gastronomy more typical, as michirones and wines of the land, as explained the second deputy mayor and councilor of the Area of ​​Economic Strategy, Finance, Heritage, Commerce, Tourism and Industry, Carmen Martín.
Carthaginians and Romans, who already have a tourist recognition even at the international level, will be protagonists of the day of Thursday, January 18, day that will be the turn of the strategic product of the Region for 2018. In the morning, the regional exhibitor will witness a recreation of Carthaginians and Romans, a celebration that last year achieved the declaration of International Tourist Interest;
of a flamenco painting to promote the Holy Week Minera de La Unión, and presentations and tastings.
And in the afternoon, some 70 festeros will recreate the battle with an exhibition, of which there will be three passes, in the Plaza de España in the capital.
On Friday, the presentation of the Cofrade Route of Cartagena will be carried out by the City of Cartagena.

In fact, Cartagena Puerto de Culturas plans to hold professional meetings with more than a dozen specialized companies, interviews conducted with national and international agencies and tour operators, dedicated to different areas of the tourism sector from circuits, cultural trips, cruises, events, congresses and incentives.
From Cartagena Port of Cultures, it is intended to publicize Cartagena and its heritage as well as the various tourist products of the city and the region, with the aim of reaching the final public through the various professional channels including MICE tourism, given that He is currently managing the Office of Congresses of Cartagena.
