The president of the Confederation of Business Organizations of Cartagena and District (COEC), Pedro Pablo Hernandez, today transferred to the delegate of the Government in the Region, Francisco Bernabé, the interest of the employer for the administrative processing and the deadlines for the works of the AVE to the port city.
In this regard, he explained that they are waiting for a meeting with the railway infrastructures manager Adif, according to the request that was received at the end of last year.
However, Hernandez expressed his confidence that this meeting could take place soon, thanks to the mediation of the Government delegate.
The president of COEC acknowledged that the announced deadlines regarding the AVE to Cartagena "are beginning to be difficult to meet".
"We do not want to doubt the announcement of the president of the Autonomous Community, Fernando López Miras, during our general assembly that the works would be throughout 2018, and we do not want to renounce it," he added.
Likewise, Hernandez highlighted the importance that the Logistics Activities Zone will have for the Region and the region of Cartagena, noting that on September 18, details will be made available by SEPES regarding the available plots and the price of the land.
On this matter, the president of COEC transferred to Bernabé his desire that, once the steps agreed in the last Table on the ZAL, are given, "and the corporate commitments are fulfilled in a more reliable way, we can know the support that from the Ministry is going to be given to this area. "
Finally, Hernández approached with the Government delegate the business and social graduates' claim to install an office of the Labor Inspectorate in Cartagena, as well as security in the Campo de Cartagena, an issue on which Bernabé told them that data are indicating a downward trend in terms of crimes.
