Cartagena Port of Cultures presents the program of routes and activities "Museums and Fun" in which to enjoy during the weekends of guided routes, dramatized visits and special activities for the whole family.
"This is the fifth consecutive year in which this program is offered, which, in each new edition, attracts more visitors.
We believe that family tourism has become one of our hallmarks and with activities such as those we present, we managed to encourage it ", explained the mayor and president of Cartagena Puerto de Culturas, Ana Belén Castejón.
ROUTES WITH TASTE
These are two different routes to know two important moments in the history of Cartagena, incorporating in this new edition, two important novelties, on the one hand one of the routes will be done in English, given the great demand for visits to the city of this type of audience
Another novelty is that it will include, at the end of each of the routes, a tasting cap typical of the chronological moment explained during the tour.
Route "Cartagena Tres Culturas"
This route will reveal medieval history and the confluence of the three cultures, Christian, Jewish and Muslim.
You will start from the Panoramic Elevator, where you will visit the Castillo de la Concepción, the visit will continue along the Church of Santa María la Mayor until you reach the Museum of the Roman Theater.
The route ends with the tasting of a typical tapa of Jewish or Muslim cuisine.
Route: Panoramic Lift, Castle of the Conception and Museum of the Theater.
Days: Saturday of January (20 and 27), February (3, 10, 17, 24) and March (3 and 10).
Hours: 11: 30h.
Departure: from the Panoramic Lift.

Route "One of Romans"
A route where a day will be known in a city of the Roman Empire, beginning the visit in the great building of spectacles the Roman Theater and its Museum, will be discovered as enjoyed by the citizens of Carthago Nova in the Thermal Baths and of the luxurious banquets dedicated to the Goddess Isis in the Barrio del Foro Romano.
As a novelty this route will travel in Spanish and English, alternate Sundays, to serve the high English-speaking public that has been received this past year.
The first route that will take place in the foreign language will be Sunday, January 21.
At the end of the route, you can taste a dish inspired by the Roman cuisine of Apicius' book.
Route: Roman Theater Museum and Roman Forum Neighborhood.
Days: Spanish route on Sundays of January (28), February (11.25) and March (11)
Route in English on Sundays of January (21), February (4.18) and March (4).
Hours: 11: 30h.

CHILDREN'S ACTIVITIES
For families with children, activities and dramatized visits have been programmed to learn the story while playing.
Games to search, explore and discover will bring children and adults, in a fun and entertaining way, to the history of the city and museums.
The aim of these activities is to make the youngest children become protagonists of the story, where contact with the museum becomes an enriching experience, learning and personal enjoyment.

Morse code".
Children activity
The children will become real spies, looking for hidden messages, in the galleries and passages of the Refugio Civil War Museum.
They will have to become incognito characters, following maps with hidden messages, discovering the encrypted codes.
Finally, children will learn the Morse Code, through light and sound signals, essential in secret communications, allowing messages to be sent in unusual situations.
Place: Refugio Civil War Museum.
Dates: Saturdays of January (20 and 27), February (3,10,17, 24) and March (3 and 10).

"Asterix and the Roman madmen".
Dramatized visit
Astérix, has arrived at the Punic Wall in his trip to Hispania, in search of his magical potion that the Carthaginians possessed in the sacred forest.
It needs small assistants to unveil the secret of how the Roman fools conquered Carthago Nova, by land and by sea.
For this, the children will have to decipher the code of Cesar, learn to use the swords and a thousand more adventures until playing a crazy game in a giant trivial that will give the answer of the magic potion of the super powers.
Place: Punic Wall.
Dates: Sundays of January (21 and 28), February (4,11,18,25) and March (4 and 11).
Time: 12.00h.
Duration: 1,30 h.
