The Valencian writer Vicente Muñoz Puelles opens this Tuesday, January 16, the Encounters with the Author of the Libraries.
The students of 1st Primary of different Schools of Cartagena will participate during days 16 and 17 in several meetings with this author in the Municipal Library Rafael Rubio (Los Dolores).
The schoolchildren of these schools have read and worked on the book by Muñoz Puelles, Laura and the mouse, from the Anaya publishing house.
On Tuesday, January 16, the meeting with the students of Sacred Heart College and Our Lady of Sorrows will begin at 9:30 am.
Afterwards, at 11:00 a.m., he will meet with the Colegio San Féliz and Antonio Ulloa.
Finally, on this same day there will be a meeting with the schoolchildren of Vicente Ros School at 12:30.
On Wednesday 17, Vicente Muñoz Puelles will begin by meeting with four groups of 1st Primary of the Marist School at 9:30 am.
Finally at 11:00 it will be the turn of the schools La Vaguada, Stella Maris and Luis Vives.
BIOGRAPHY OF THE AUTHOR
Vicente Muñoz Puelles was born in 1948 in Valencia and from a very young age he devoted himself to literature.
His abundant production covers different genres and has received, among others, the Azorín Prize (1993) with Empress Eugenia in Zululand, and the Alfons Magnanim Prize for Narrative (2002), with The Misadventures of a Writer in the Provinces.
From his incursions into children's and young people's literature we can highlight the National Prize (1999) with Óscar and El León de Correos, the Anaya Prize for Children and Youth Literature, which he won twice with El arca y yo (2004) and La voz del Tree, (2014), and the Asturias Booksellers Award with La Perrona (2005).
He has also published several biographies, such as that of Colón, Goya, Ramón y Cajal or Shakespeare.
He studied Quixote and a translator, he has made critical editions and has been translated into numerous languages.
