The Municipal Group of Citizens in Cartagena today criticized the "lack of planning" by the municipal government team to prepare in time the draft municipal budgets of 2018 and transfer it to the rest of political formations so they can make their contributions.
"As of today, January 11, nobody has the accounts for 2018," said the local spokesman for Citizens, Manuel Padin, who indicated that most of the amendments by Cs "are ready to be presented but until we do not study the draft evidently they can not be the definitive one, it is necessary to analyze if the numbers square or what is incorporated in the investment chapter ".
With regard to the amendments of Cs, Manuel Padín has advanced that "they collect in good measure the requests made by the neighbors" are amendments that arise from our meetings with neighborhood groups and active listening. "" Our amendments are, as in previous years, fruit of work and daily effort ", assured Manuel Padín.
Previous compromises

Progress of the amendments to the 2018 budgets
Although the orange spokesman has warned that everything may change once the draft of the 2018 accounts has been analyzed, it has advanced that "we are waiting to know the amount that will be allocated to the Neighborhood Plan and Councils announced by the mayor of Cartagena in his inauguration, in function of that, we will ask or not increase the departure for the neighborhoods that need it most, such as Santa Lucia, San Antón, Los Mateos, Barrio de la Concepción, or Barriada Virgen de la Caridad, and in those councils battered by participatory and abandoned budgets by the local government, with special attention to El Beal, Llano del Beal, and Estrecho de San Ginés for their environmental, social and urban problems ".
"We will also be very aware of how much is going to be used for social purposes to fight against poverty and social exclusion, and depending on that, we will decide if an increase of the games is required or not," added Manuel Padín.
Some of the orange training amendments correspond to plenary agreements "that we achieved but have not yet implemented, such as the revision and improvement of the children's playgrounds in the municipality, the creation of shaded areas in public spaces, schools and nurseries, the continuation of the project to improve the Torres Park environment, the crash plan to recover the Gisbert Market, the development of the first phase of the road safety plan, the implementation of measures to help Crohn's patients, or the protection, signaling and put in value of the Roman Quarries, among others ".
On the Plaza de la Merced, the intention of the orange training is to get the municipal government to reserve the necessary investment and give the deadlines for its complete remodeling;

Other commitments to support budgets
In addition to including the amendments, the spokesperson for Citizens has also advanced that if the Government wants the support of its Group it will have to commit itself with its signature to start this year the Pact for Employment, the Strategic Tourism Plan, the Municipal Plan of the Culture, constitute the Commission for the Modification of the Organic Regulation of the Plenary, organize in the first half of the year the cycle of conferences on the Logistics Activities Areas of Spain, call the debate on the state of the municipality, convene a Board of Spokespersons with representatives of Adif to know when and how the AVE will arrive in Cartagena, reactivate the Local Table of Commerce, and constitute the Observatory of Sports approved in the Plenary thanks to Cs.
