The local spokesman of Citizens, Manuel Padín, has announced that "we will promote an initiative so that in the next ordinary plenary all political groups have the opportunity to give their support to the union demands of this platform"
The Municipal Group of Citizens in Cartagena celebrates that the City Council has finally granted the necessary permits for the Murcia delegation of the Salary Justice Association of police and civil guards (JUSAPOL) can set up their stand and collect signatures in Cartagena for an Initiative Legislative Popular, (ILP) with the objective that salaries and remuneration supplements are equal to the rest of Spanish police.
The collection of signatures will take place tomorrow, Friday, January 5, starting at 10:00 am in the Plaza San Sebastián, next to the monument to the processionist.
Last Friday December 29, responsible for Jusapol, reported that two hours after the start of the collection of signatures, the City refused authorization to set up the stand "alleging that the responsible was on vacation and had not been able to sign it," as reported the local press.
The spokesman of Citizens in Cartagena, Manuel Padín, has asked "that these situations do not happen again, and that the necessary replacements are foreseen so that the vacation of a public worker does not prevent the authorization to mount a stand on public roads, although has been requested with little time in advance ".
On the other hand, Manuel Padín recalled the work of Citizens in both the Regional Assembly and the Congress of Deputies to make "a claim that we consider fair," with equality of functions, equal pay, economic recovery should not be moved only to the regional police but to the whole of the State Security Forces and Bodies ".
"We are proud that Citizens has been the one who put on the table the wage comparison between the National Police and the Civil Guard with the regional forces, we believe it is fair," said Manuel Padín, who also recalled that it was his Parliamentary Group which registered in September an initiative in the Assembly in the same sense ".
In addition, the local spokesman for Citizens has announced that "we will promote an initiative so that in the next ordinary plenary all political groups have the opportunity to give their support to the union demands of the Jusapol platform, especially in relation to the main one: salary equalization of national police and civil guards, all institutional support is little for such a fair and necessary objective as this one ".
