CTSSP criticizes the actions of the Mayor, this time with FCC-LHICARSA, in charge of road cleaning in our municipality.
A service that neighbors have been complaining about since the new Corporation arrived in June 2015, after 20 years of Partido Popular, where the control of the companies that managed the public services "shone because of their absence".
The municipal group of PODEMOS has been surprised since now, and miraculously, a plan of shock of cleanliness of the districts and delegations of Cartagena is undertaken.
And for that, 350 workers appear from nowhere, when the same PSOE admitted in the November plenary session that 20 workers were missing.
"Where are the penalties for having Cartagena dirty and abandoned for months?" Were the words of Pilar Marcos, who complained that sanctions for breach of public service management must be executed, and that the person responsible for this is the Municipal government with its Mayor at the head.
CTSSP denounces that any update in the conditions of the cleaning service that involves a modification of the contract, should lead to a new tender, especially if there is already proof (and sufficient evidence) to determine that FCC has breached the contract signed with the City Council, which is why under no circumstances should you negotiate with the company.
Negotiate with a company that costs the Cartagena a few million euros a year, and that does not meet the purpose for which it was hired, which is to keep the streets of the city, neighborhoods and county councils clean, is to defend large companies against the general interest, something that the PSOE and Ana Belén Castejón have been doing without shame since they assumed the Mayor's office, to the detriment of all Cartagena.
