The Government delegate, Francisco Bernabé, today co-chaired the Local Board that has been held in the city of Cartagena with the aim of ensuring security during the development of the Three Kings Parade that will run through the streets of the city.
Bernabé explained that the operation that will be launched by the city of Cartagena to ensure security will be added to fifty National Police personnel who "are going to be active throughout the day, especially during the Ride, to ensure safety, tranquility, of all Cartagena and neighbors of the region.
The Delegate also recalled that level 4 of the terrorist alert is maintained in Cartagena, as in the rest of Spain, so "the security measures we adopt are maximum," he said.
In this regard, Bernabé has asked citizens to understand the possible discomfort and discomfort that these measures may cause "that are motivated by guaranteeing the safety and tranquility of everyone".
Regarding the second point discussed during the development of the Local Safety Board, regarding the Convention against Gender Violence, the Government delegate has launched a request to join it.
Bernabé has indicated that at present only a municipality has signed up to the Protocol, although he has highlighted the existence of a group of consistories, among which is that of Cartagena, which "are working actively to join this collaboration instrument with the Security Forces of the State to eradicate this scourge ".
The government delegate, Francisco Bernabé, has thus called for the 45 municipalities of the Region of Murcia "to join the Protocol to Combat Gender Violence" which he described as "fundamental and good tool to continue helping to end this evil".
