The Women's Center of the Mediterranean Urbanization has presented the bases for the XXVII poetry contest and the XI Ángel Flores painting competition, which will have two prizes, one of 400 euros and the other of 150, in both modalities.
According to sources from the Women's Center, the theme of the poem is freely chosen and anyone who has not published a book of poetry will be able to participate.
They have also indicated that the poems will be presented in Spanish, with a minimum length of 20 verses and a maximum of 50, typed on one side and in triplicate.
The deadline for admission of works has been established since the publication of the rules until February 15, 2018, have indicated, at the same time they added that the jury that will choose the winners is composed of personalities from the world of education and culture, as well as the president of the women's center.
The jury will issue its ruling regarding the poetry contest on March 9 at 8:30 p.m. and will be disseminated through the media, they have announced.
Also, they have expressed that the works should be sent to the C / Diamante 8, under commercial, of Urbanization Mediterranean, 30310.
Regarding the Angel Flores painting contest, they have indicated that all people over 18 who reside in the Region of Murcia may participate, as well as any pictorial technique in the contest.
They have also reported that the theme of the work is free and that it must have a size of a minimum of 50x50 cm, as well as that the authors may submit up to a total of three works.
From the Women's Center they have emphasized that the works should be presented, at least, with molding borders and that the signature of the author should not be visible.
The name or pseudonym, photocopy of the DNI and contact telephone must be in a sealed envelope stuck behind the works, they have indicated.
The deadline for submission is from January 4 to February 26 and the jury's decision regarding the painting contest will be public on March 9 at 8:30 p.m., they have indicated.
The jury will be composed of a member of the center, a recognized painter and the organizer of the contest.
The pictorial works must be presented in "Pinceladas", located in C / Amethyst of Mediterranean Urbanization, 30310. The organization has indicated that the winner will be notified by telephone of the day and time in which the prize will be delivered.
