The popular race of San Silvestre de Cartagena has obtained a participation of 1,471 people in its trigemosexta edition, in which the proceeds have been used for charitable purposes to the benefit of the associations Sodicar and Hogar El Buen Samaritano.
The winners of the test were Zacarías Rqiq Iglesias, with a time of 0:16:03 in the men's category, and Almudena García, with a time of 00:19:10 in the women's category.
Antonio García and Fulgencio Angosto have completed the podium in their category and Sandra García and Elena Alcantud in the female category in a race marked by the festive atmosphere at the end of the year.
During the tour of San Silvestre de Cartagena most runners have been seen in disguise.
The winners of the trophies to the best disfrances have been El Capitán América and Los Astronautas.
The organization has been carried out thanks to the collaboration of the Athletics Club of Mandarache and the Department of Sports of the City of Cartagena, which has developed a large deployment with a sanitary and police device of around forty agents, in addition to the participation of the volunteers.
In this edition of the San Silvestre it has been decided to split the prebenjamín and benjamin categories, in which 236 minors have participated, while in juveniles and children a total of 193 and 112 runners participated in the cadet and juvenile categories.
