Firefighters of the Fire and Rescue Extinction Service of the City of Cartagena participated Sunday, during the last day of 2017, in the extinction of two fires that occurred this morning and early this afternoon in a house in El Algar and a restaurant Cartagena
The first of them took place at 8:38 a.m. in a house on the ground floor on the street Correos de El Algar.
In this incident, only material damages have been recorded.
Two vehicles were sent to the site: a light urban pump and a heavy wet one.
When there were no victims inside the dwelling, it proceeded directly to its extinction and subsequent ventilation.
The visibility during the extinction was almost nil because the smoke was already very close to the ground.
Along with the firefighters there were members of the Local Police Cartagena and Guardia Civil.
The second fire, with hardly any material damage, was recorded around 3:15 p.m., and affected the flue gas extractor from the kitchen bell of the restaurant A Taberna Galega, on Calle de la Palma.
To the place a vehicle with six troops moved, giving it for extinguished at 16:30 hours and affecting rags and materials stored in the exterior area of ​​the smoke outlet.
In the place they were only, at the arrival of the firemen, the owners and the waiters, none of them wounded.
