The Area of Sustainable Development and Transparency, headed by the mayor María José Soler, has implemented a new initiative to facilitate an easy access to municipal information, thus enhancing the policy of transparency and public service of the City of Cartagena.
The new initiative consists of the implementation of a new link hosted on its Transparency Portal, called, What does the City of Cartagena use for its money ?, which is located in the institutional website of the City of Cartagena.
In this new portal, the citizen is provided with economic, budgetary and statistical information of a municipal nature, in a simple and direct way, to smooth his understanding.
Graphically, the neighbor can inquire about: the municipal budget and its comparison with previous years, the execution or modifications, the budgetary indicators, or the average period of payment to suppliers, among other data.
For this, information is bifurcated in different tabs agglutinated in a message that puts the accent on economic management and, more concretely, on how the budget is distributed, the origin of the income and the destination of the expenditure.
Through the link, 'Global Vision', the neighbor will know the income and expenses of the exercise.
In 'Policies' it will deepen in the destiny of the departures by areas;
while, in 'Expenses and payments', payments to suppliers made by area and by beneficiary are addressed.
In the same way, a tab has been enabled for the taxpayer to inform about the approximate distribution of the money of his taxes, called, 'My taxes'.
The web is completed with a section in which the neighbors can consult the meaning of the terms or concepts they wish.
The application reaches, in addition to the City Council, its autonomous bodies, societies and consortiums.
