"The Social Economy.
A bet for the economic and social development of Europe "has been the theme on which the day organized by the Cátedra Cajamar de Cooperativismo Agroalimentario and the Forum Economía y Sociedad of the UPCT has revolved.
This Conference, which has been attended by a hundred people, funded by the Ministry of Employment, Universities and Business, is part of the activities of the online Master in Management of Entities of the Social Economy taught by the UPCT.
Experts and researchers from different institutions and universities participated in the event.
Among them, José Luis Monzón and Rafael Chaves, from the University of Valencia.
These professors have collaborated as experts with the European Commission and with the European Economic and Social Committee, highlighting, among others, the co-direction of the Report "Recent evolutions of the Social Economy in the European Union".
The president of the Spanish Business Confederation of the Social Economy (CEPES) and Social Economy Europe (SEE), Juan Antonio Pedreño, the highest national and European representative of the Social Economy entities also intervened.
The speakers highlighted the importance of Social Economy organizations and the new concepts that are emerging, as well as the unique characteristics of them that affect their direction and the institutional framework that promotes their development.
These aspects, along with legal and management, will be widely developed in the Master in Management of Entities of the Social Economy than the UPCT.
In this way, responds to the preferences shown by the graduates who currently work in social economy organizations, due to the time constraints they face that are overcome through the flexibility offered by online education.

the general director of Labor Relations and Social Economy, Nuria Fuentes García-Lax;
the president of Social Economy Europe (SEE) and of the Spanish Business Confederation of the Social Economy (CEPES), Juan Antonio Pedreño Frutos and the director of the Cajamar Chair of Agri-Food Cooperatives-UPCT, Narciso Arcas Lario.
