The point of collection of toys located in the courtyard of the Administrative Building of San Miguel Street, enabled by the City of Cartagena for the campaign 'Juguetea' by the Department of Social Services, will conclude on Wednesday, December 27, this solidarity program.
The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, and the Councilor for Social Services, Carmen Martín, will come at 11:30 am to receive the toys of some of the collaborating entities that have participated picking up toys during the month of December or in a timely manner some days indicated.
The volunteers of the campaign will continue to collect toys from all those citizens who want to come and collaborate in the usual pick-up time, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
After the closure, on the 28th and 29th we will proceed to classify the toys by age with the help of the 50 volunteers of the Municipal Volunteer Program, who will help in the whole process, then give them to the different entities and then distribute them.
In this regard, it is worth noting that the entities send a list to the Department of Social Services which contains the toys they need, and from there the classification and distribution is made to them, which are responsible for delivering them to families.
