The Planning Commission, which met Tuesday under the chairmanship of the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, has finally approved the detailed study of the Perla de Levante project, which has been presented by Profu SA and will be held in Los Urrutias, together with Starfish.
This project was provisionally approved a few weeks ago and there were no allegations, so it has been definitively approved.
Now it is the company that must request the activity and work licenses to begin work at the end of January, as planned.
This project involves the construction of a low intensity hotel complex, whose objective is to promote the deseasonalization of tourism, since it will promote the practice of water sports during the winter months.
The hotel, which will have four stars, will have a capacity for 400 people and will have 150 rooms.
The planned investment is 15 million euros.
This establishment will have tennis courts, swimming pools and beachfront complexes for sailing and other water sports.
It is a project totally respectful with the environment.
The promoter is Profu SA, but the responsible for the development is the British Neilson chain, which has resorts specializing in sports tourism in Sardinia, France, Croatia, Greece, Italy, Austria and Andorra.
