The night of December 24, Christmas Eve, it is time for celebrations in most homes.
For the night to unfold without incident many people work on that date, professionals and volunteers, performing an important and inconspicuous work that the mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, wanted to thank and congratulate, accompanied by the Councilor for Citizen Security, Francisco Aznar , and the Councilor for Social Services, Carmen Martín.
The mayor went with the Councilor for Social Services and municipal technicians to the Hospitality of Santa Teresa and the dining room Jesus Master and Pastor, of Caritas, where they shared a time with volunteers and users.
There they had the opportunity to chat with the people who came to these centers to enjoy their Christmas Eve dinner and to know first hand their particular situations.
They also congratulated the volunteers who gave their time on such a marked day in an altruistic and generous manner, and wished everyone present a merry Christmas.
In addition, in the Security Park, the local police and firefighters who worked that shift received the mayor and the citizen security council during their workday.
Both councilors wished them good service during their guard, congratulated them on Christmas and thanked their work.
