Within the programming of the Department of Culture of the City of Cartagena, the prestigious puppet theater Teatro Los Claveles offers this Thursday, December 28, at 6:30 pm in the auditorium of the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center with free admission to complete capacity, the work 'Tulugak';
a child inspired by an Inuit story in which values ​​such as forgiveness and acceptance of others gravitate to the plot of the work.
After representing all over the world classic stories with their inseparable puppets and win in countless festivals, the company Los Claveles from Murcia comes to Cartagena with 'Tulugak'.
This piece tells the story, through puppets of a crow that is devoured by a whale.
Inside is a clean and comfortable house full of light and heat, where a young woman who holds a gleaming lantern and asks the crow not to touch it.
But his curiosity can be more, and when he touches it, his flame goes out and the young woman dies.
The woman was the soul of the whale and the lantern, her heart.
Directed to the family audience, Tulugak "is a story that will make children laugh, but it is also a story to think", explains the Councilor for Culture of the City of Cartagena, David Martínez Noguera, who encourages "to come next Thursday to the Center Cultural de Cartagena to enjoy this company that has been stepping on stage all over the world for more than thirty years, and that with this new show will make children and adults enjoy with a fun bet of puppet theater ".
Tulugak, with an approximate duration of 45 minutes, is the story of a crow that lives in constant personal growth and manages to learn from its own mistakes.
The narration comes from the hand of the two actors on stage, the Captain (Aniceto Roca) and the Grumeta (Paca García), who also perform the manipulation of puppets on a set.
The decoration is made up of woods and natural fabrics, we use basic colors and, in addition, we use a play of shadows that reinforces the interpretation of actors, puppets and sets, "according to the actors' description.
