The area of ​​Sustainable Development and Transparency led by María José Soler executes, during these days, several important initiatives to optimize and maximize different sites for leisure and recreation in the Historic District and nearby areas.
Thus, the tasks that are allowing the repair and adaptation of existing elements in the playground of the Plaza del Rey, as well as the installation of new elements are in their final phase.
The action has involved an investment of 21,000 euros and will satisfy a neighborhood demand and users of this busy public space, widely used by families to enjoy moments of entertainment.
In parallel, the existing land is being replaced in the playground area of ​​the central Parque de los Juncos.
It is an improvement aimed at guaranteeing the safety of users.
PARQUE TORRES CONDITIONING
Finally, progress is also being made in the works that are guaranteeing the interior fittings of Torres Park, a performance valued at more than 80,000 euros.
The works affect the improvement of different spaces such as dressing rooms, toilets and bleachers.
Among other actions, the cleaning of the stands, stage and steps is contemplated.
In the same way, tiling panels that are in danger will be demolished.
As for the masonry works, dressing rooms, warehouses, ticket offices, stands, steps or stage will be painted.
On the other hand, indicative posters will be installed, in addition to replacing the four existing doors on the outside by stainless steel doors with wood-colored PVC.
The works have a deadline of one month and will be completed with tasks dedicated to improving electricity in the installation.
It is worth remembering that the outstanding business competition in this initiative will allow the execution of other complementary actions to equip the Torres Park garden with fiber optics, security cameras, as well as the monitoring of access doors.
Likewise, we are working on the replacement of various plant species that have been lost.
