Recalling the great effort that the small merchants of the municipality do to start the Christmas campaign, put competitive prices, expand schedules, decorate attractive windows, the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, presented Thursday initiatives that have launched the associations Open Shopping Center, Merchants San Fernando Street, Cénit Shopping Center, La Milla Merchants and ACOBE (Merchants Association of Los Belones).
The City Council collaborates with this initiative with lighting and atmosphere in the streets to invite shopping, in addition to helping the merchants associations to launch numerous initiatives, such as the traditional shop window contest.
Invest in our SMEs, in our traditional trade, is investing in Cartagena, said Castejón, who in the presentation of the campaign has been accompanied by representatives of the Open Shopping Center and La Milla, Chiru Graña and Esperanza Bermejo, respectively.
THE ESCAPARATES CONTEST RETURNS
You can register shops whose premises do not exceed 300 square meters, make the request in the Department of Commerce who will give accreditation as participants.
The showcase must be exposed, at least, until December 31 and it is essential to send a photograph in digital format.
If it is not possible, the Department of Commerce can take charge of carrying it out.
The jury, composed of a representative of the Chamber of Commerce, the COEC, the City Council and the general direction of Commerce, will make a preselection of shop windows taking into account aspects such as quality, good taste and originality, but without losing of sight that must contain Christmas motives.
For the winners, there will be a first prize, consisting of an advertising campaign in the newspaper La Opinion, valued at 1000 euros, trophy and diploma;
a second prize, which will be a plublireportaje in the Radio Cartagena Cadena SER;
and the third prize, a trophy and a diploma.
There will also be up to three runners-up with a diploma.
GIFTS FOR CUSTOMERS
For this Christmas campaign, the Open Shopping Center has prepared, in addition to the traditional train, a new contest to reward the customers of its associated centers, with a Great Roulette of Luck that will be in the Calle del Carmen.
To play, on December 30, will be necessary 'Christmas Wreaths', refrigerator magnets that will receive buyers from these shops.
All customers will finally have a gift, as they will be distributed about 4,000, with prices ranging from 800 to 2 euros.
Chiru Graña explained that, apart from these initiatives, the Open Shopping Center always collaborates at this time with some solidary project, in this case it will be with children with autism, action in which the town hall has also been involved.
For its part, the merchants of La Milla retake the draw for a cruise on the Mediterranean among its customers, as pointed out by Esperanza Bermejo, along with two checks of 200 euros to spend in shops that are part of this association.
They also repeat with the distribution of Christmas hats, with which customers can take a selfie and participate in a contest that will reward the winner with a hotel and spa weekend.
In its most supportive face, La Milla collaborates every year in the campaign to collect toys.
Finally, remember that the Cénit keeps its traditional draw of hams and wine on Saturdays during the Christmas campaign.
