The 20 Barrios-ADLE students from Los Barreros and Villalba received this morning the diplomas that certify the completion of this theoretical-practical course on Urban Maintenance.
The event was held at the Youth Resource Center of Canteras, where the mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, the head of the ADLE, José Serrano and the training technician of the agency, Juana María Ros, have delivered the certificates.
The program lasted two months with 245 hours of theoretical and practical training.
The 10 students from each of the two neighborhoods have received a scholarship per day of training assistance of € 10.
During the course they have carried out the tasks of the urban maintenance programs: masonry, painting and cleaning of gardens.
The students of Los Barreros have carried out their practical training tasks in the San Francisco Javier park, the Plaza de la Iglesia, the social premises and the Leoncio Sánchez park in Los Barreros.
For their part, the students of Villalba have developed their activity in Las Marismas street, on the sports track, in the Marqués de Villalba square and in CEPAIM.
The mayor has congratulated them, not only for having finished the course but for having contributed to improving the image of their neighborhoods.
It has also encouraged them to keep in touch with the services of the ADLE that will help them to be able to get a job as soon as possible for which they are already perfectly trained.
He also reminded them that their CV is kept in the placement agency that has them for the processes that correspond to their profile.
