Cs Cartagena asks its national deputies to pressure the Ministry to create a mortgage court in the municipality (19/12/2017)

- "It was much more reasonable to leave things as they were and distribute the new workload among the 54 courts that exist in the region, among other things, to prevent the aggression and discrimination among citizens," said the spokesman for Cs. Cartagena, Manuel Padín

- The Minister of Justice, Rafael Catalá, stated that in September the status of the reinforcements of these courts would be reviewed and that in the case where it was concluded that a single provincial court was not sufficient to absorb the volume of cases received, the Ministry would support "totally the request to create more specialized courts"

Cartagena, Tuesday December 19-.

Citizens today denounced the folly of the General Council of the Judiciary to specialize from June 1 to only one court of first instance in each province for the processing of complaints from those affected by expenses and mortgage clauses.

For the orange training spokesman in Cartagena, Manuel Padín, "that only one court, in our case that of Murcia, has to face claims related to land clauses and mortgage expenses throughout the Region, which amounts to 45,000 lawsuits a year, seems unfeasible and counterproductive, was an impromptu decision that did not take into account the collapse situation that could occur in the specialized court of Murcia, and the deterrent effect that could cause thousands of inhabitants of this Autonomous Community that does not live in the city of Murcia for the inconvenience and the costs of displacement, "to take that decision, in our mistaken opinion, did not take into account the population variables and the workload that the courts support". According to Manuel Padín, "it was much more reasonable to explore other alternatives, such as leaving things as they were, that is, distributing the new workload among the 54 courts

that exist in the Region, among other things, to prevent the aggression and discrimination among citizens, and also to reduce to a few months the foreseeable delay in resolutions ".

The spokesman of Cs Cartagena recalled that the municipal plenums of Cartagena and Lorca have unanimously approved to reject the creation of Uniprovincial Courts, "we are the voice that must be heard, and we have to rectify this path as soon as possible."

The Regional Assembly also expressed unanimously against the CGPJ project.

As reported today by La Verdad, the traffic jam in the regional courts continues to grow as can be seen from the report 'Situation of judicial bodies', published yesterday by the Statistics Section of the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ).

About 10% of the issues that entered the Murcia courts from July to September referred to the ground clauses, almost 1,400 cases, and there are about 43,000 more planned for the coming months.

This opinion is shared by most experts on the subject, including the current dean of the Bar Association of Cartagena, José Muelas, who already assured in a meeting held with the Citizens Group that "if a court of first instance can take difficulties about 1,000 issues a year, how long it will take that court to draw tens of thousands throughout the Community, it is not feasible to look where you look. "

"As neither the affected municipalities, nor the Regional Assembly have managed to change the opinion of the CGPJ, our Municipal Group is going to request our national deputies in the Congress of Deputies to put maximum pressure on the Minister of Justice, and request the organ of Government of the Judiciary to rectify something that is obviously damaging our judicial structure and inconveniencing hundreds of Cartagena, "said Manuel Padin who recalled that the Minister of Justice, Rafael Catalá, said that in September the state of the reinforcements of these courts and that in the case in which it was concluded that a single provincial court was not sufficient to absorb the volume of cases received, the Ministry would support "totally the request to create more specialized courts and continue to reinforce them".

Almost two months have passed since this supposed revision, the collapse has already been demonstrated and here no one has moved a finger so that Cartagena has its specialized court. "
