The Trail Vista Alegre 'Sierra Gorda' will be held on January 14 for the natural environment that runs around Vista Alegre and Sierra Gorda.
In this second edition the participants will return to run for a good cause, raise funds for the solidarity project, 'Strides on wheels'.
The details and characteristics of the test were presented this Friday, December 15, at a press conference in which the Councilor for Sports of the City of Cartagena, Ricardo Segado, appeared.
The mayor has been accompanied by Luis Miguel Ortíz, member of the organization;
Juan Esparza, president of Club Vista Alegre Trail and Antonio Medrano, volunteer of 'Zancadas on wheels'.
Ricardo Segado stressed that this event is already part of the calendar of popular tests that promotes the Department of Sports and help to disseminate the tourist image of Cartagena and its deputies.
Segado also thanked the clubs for the effort in organizing this new edition of a race that "Puts the value of the people of Vista Alegre and its environment".
The councilor of sports has taken the opportunity to recognize the social work of the project 'Strides on Wheels', which helps people with other skills to participate in careers.
In this sense the mayor has recalled that the council that he directs acquired a HandBike chair, which is rotating between runners with special situation so they can play these popular races.
ABOUT THE PROOF
The test includes a hiking route of 8 km.
and 180 meters of altitude difference.
The rest of the tests will be similar to those of the first edition.
A trail of 16.5 km.
and 470 meters of elevation gain and another 6 km route.
and 155 meters of difference, one kilometer more than in the first edition.
There will also be tests for boys and girls of a non-competitive nature.
The popular race will be perfectly validated and with its corresponding abituallamiento.
The organizers have ensured that they will take care of the environment as it should be, removing the one validated at the end of the test and not giving the water in the bottle or glasses (it will be poured into the runner's room).
This prevents rubbish from being left in the bush.
