The Intercultural Centers, Los Dolores and Casco Antiguo, belonging to the Immigration and Development Cooperation Unit of the Department of Social Services and Social Mediation, closed the quarter with activities of a Christmas nature.
On Monday 11 and Tuesday 12 December, the youngest of both centers held a workshop of 'Christmas Culinary Art for Children', offered by the Department of Equality.
It involved 50 children aged between 10 and 13 years, who made a cake decorated with Christmas decorations.
On Wednesday, December 13, the rest of the groups from both centers enjoyed an afternoon excursion in Murcia.
Forty young people between 14 and 17 years old, in addition to walking around the city and visiting the Christmas market, enjoyed the ice rink and various activities located in the Plaza del Cuartel de Artillería.
As culmination of the quarter, the Intercultural Centers will hold the first meeting with the author within the Mandarache Young Readers Program, belonging to the Youth Council, in which the centers have been participating for 7 years.
On this occasion, we are visited by Maite Carranza, author of 'Caminos de Libertad'.
These centers will resume their activities after the Christmas holidays on Monday, January 8, 2018.
