On Sunday, December 17, there will be a guided tour of the Castle of the Moors organized by the Association of Veteran Friends of Cartagena Castles, its Fortresses, Walls, Old Towers and Batteries (AFORCA) in collaboration with the City of Cartagena, of the Year of the Enlightenment activities.
The activity is part of the cycle of guided tours that have been carried out to show the main fortifications made in the XVIII century.
With it will close this cycle, after those already made to Atalaya and Galeras.
The departure will be at 9:30 in the morning, from the Church of Santa Lucia, to walk up to the fortress on its eastern flank, the neighborhood of Los Mateos.
Several stops will be made at the most characteristic points of the fortification and aspects related to its history, missions and elements such as its bastions, pits, curtains and entrances and its configuration as a crowned work will be discussed.
The visit will be open to all those who wish, recommending to wear comfortable shoes.
