The Musical Group Our Lady of Solitude of Mills Marfagones will celebrate this Friday and Saturday its particular Santa Cecilia, patron of the musicians, with a series of activities with which will present the work developed through its music school and its titular band , for which it has the collaboration of the City of Cartagena.
The acts will begin on Friday, December 15, with the second official concert of the Band School of the Musical Group Ntra. Sra. De la Soledad, at the facilities of the ISEN (former Naval Museum), at 5:00 p.m.
It will be a Christmas concert in which they will also be accompanied by the music language groups of the Mateo Soto Music School.
The celebration will continue on Saturday 16 with the parade of collection of new musicians, starting at 10:30 am, which will travel through various streets of Cartagena and councils.
This year it gathers three new musicians who will become part of the titular band.
They are, Lucía Jiménez Perona (13 years old, Trompa);
María García Gómez (17 years old, Transverse flute) and Raúl Perea Aznar (14 years old, Alto Saxophone).
The same Saturday 16, at 6:00 pm, at the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center, the most important act will take place.
All attendees can enjoy a first part with the concert of the School Band along with students of Musical Language, and a second part with the concert of the Band, which may the final touch to the events dedicated to the festival of Santa Cecilia
Both the Band School and the Band will present new works that are preparing with much desire and enthusiasm.
The concert will be attended by the Councilor for Culture, David Martínez.
Also, students are being auditioned in the rehearsal room of the Mateo Soto Music School during this week, in which they will show everything they have learned in this first trimester and in previous years to friends, family and anyone who wants to know about them. facilities and operation of the school.
