The City of Cartagena celebrated the 1st Memorial 'Rosendo Carrión' last Wednesday.
An event organized by the Department of Sports which was attended by the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, sports councilor Ricardo Segado, the general director of Sports of the Autonomous Community Alonso Gómez López participated this morning in the I memorial 'Rosendo Carrión'.
The event was held to pay tribute to a man who left a deep impression on family and friends, and who died a year ago while playing a soccer match of the triangular championship of Cartagena veterans.
The event was held at the San Juan Bosco football field and gathered family, friends and players of the teams AD Trinidad, AFCT Aficionados, CD Dolorense and CD La Puerta, who competed with him.
The event had some emotional words from the political authorities and Carrión's relatives were given a bouquet of flowers and a framed poster as a reminder of this memorial.
Next, the attending teams played a 7-a-side football match in honor of the honoree.
