The town of Cabo de Palos shows today, November 5, the richness of its seabed and its fishing tradition through a permanent photo exhibition on the facades of this town.

The event has also served to present the II International Open Photosub Cabo de Palos, after the success of the first edition.
II OPEN INTERNATIONAL FOTOSUB DE CABO DE PALOS
The International Open Fotosub is an event that uses diving as a cross-cutting activity that combines tourism with care for the environment, highlighted the council, so that the marine reserve of Cabo de Palos is visible and promotes the fishing tradition and fishing traditional that are used by the Fishermen's Guild of this locality.
An underwater image championship organized by the diving centers Mangamar, Rivemar, and Islas Hormigas with the collaboration of the City of Cartagena, in which 41 pairs will participate between the absolute and compact modalities.
The importance of this championship is denoted by the fact that the champion and runner-up of the world of this sport modality have been registered, and 5 champions of Spain of different editions.
The divers will compete throughout Thursday 7 and Friday 8, making dives in several buoys, located in two different sectors: dives in reserve, and out of reserve.
The objective is to show both the good state of the reserve and the influence it has in the vicinity of it.
The dive points will be Piles1 and the Bajo de Dentro in the reserve, and Tail of the Escalerita and Bajo del Descargado out of it.
Competitors should not only take pictures underwater, the competition includes photos that reflect the fishing tradition of the people.
