The traditional fishing district of Santa Lucia inaugurated this Sunday the Nativity scene organized every year by the El Pinacho Cultural Association.
The birth is located in the plaza at the confluence of Francisco Ayuso and Santiago streets, next to the Parroquia de Santiago Apóstol.
The event was attended by the mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, and the delegated councilor for Culture, David Martínez.
The nativity scene has approximately 200 figures, of which about half are mobile.
The group that promotes this initiative will deliver, as in each edition, some craft births to various authorities and personalities who have collaborated throughout the year with the residents of Santa Lucia.
This year, Lidia Torres Paredes, Aurora Esteve Grau, Andrea García Gómez and Juan Conesa Fuentes, José Bernardo Marín, director of Cartagena Diario, Antonio Sevilla (president of the Port Authority), Francisco Pagán Martín-Portugués (Big Brother of the Marraja Brotherhood), the Councilor for Equality, David Martínez Noguera, the national deputy María González Vera Cruz and the Neighborhood Association of Santa Lucía.
