Guided routes
In addition to the extension of the schedule, and in collaboration with Cartagena Port of Cultures, the Roman Theater also proposes for the next week different activities and guided and dramatized routes.
On Thursday 7 and Saturday 9 December (at 12:00 hours), with the title 'Citizens of an Empire', a route will be organized starting at the Roman Theater to continue through the Roman Forum Neighborhood and the Casa de the Fortune.
During the tour, participants will discover the life of the Romans and, above all, know the splendor of the city of Carthago Nova, where the theater and the temple dedicated to the gods Isis and Serapis were built, together with large thermal complexes decorated with paintings and mosaics and banquet buildings of a sacred nature.
'Asclepios, 2,000 years of a hill' is the name of the route prepared for Tuesday 5 and Sunday 10 December.
It will start at 12:00 hours in the panoramic lift that elevates the visitor to the hill of Asclepios, crowned by the medieval Castle and on whose slope the Roman Theater was built in the time of Augustus, where the visit will conclude after visiting the main elements of the medieval city, integrated into an itinerary of great historical and scenic value.
The third proposed route, 'Temples, goddesses and much theater', will take place on December 6 and 8 (12:00 hours).
In it the participants will live the adventures of a Roman citizen, who will invoke the gods to achieve his dream: act in the splendid Roman Theater of Carthago Nova.
It will begin its journey in the District of the Forum to arrive at the Temple of Isis, looking for the protection of the goddess and the emperor in the Augusteum, until arriving at the Theater.
