This Galifa la Muela water trail is a journey through the surroundings of the town of Galifa and its neighborhoods, developing the route through traditional fields between roads that pass through parcels of land separated by dry stone walls, common in the Diputación Cartagenera de Perín.
On the occasion of the signage of this route on Sunday, December 3, its route will take place.
The departure will be at 9:00 am from the Galifa sports center and the Councilor for Tourism, Obdulia Gómez, is scheduled to attend.
In the tour you will discover the natural and cultural heritage, mainly constituted by the water catchment system of Los Cartageneros and that later formed the Water Company of the English, at the beginning of the 20th century.
Through this route we can know the different elements that constitute these hydraulic constructions composed of dykes, ditches, galleries, pipes, deposits and other works carried out to supply drinking water Cartagena, located in a unique environment whose unique landscapes of these coastal mountain ranges .
It is also a unique opportunity to discover the environmental values ​​of the Sierra de La Muela as a Natural Area declared without protection figure by the Law 4/92 on the Regulation and Protection of the Territory of the Region of Murcia according to the Order of March 15, 2006 , which initially approved the Plan for the Regulation of Natural Resources of the Sierra de la Muela, Cabo Tiñoso and Roldán.
