The citizens of Cartagena over 16 years old can vote from Friday, December 1 and until December 19, the different proposals approved for Participatory Budgets, as recalled by the Councilor of the Area of ​​Citizen Participation, Juan Pedro Torralba, who has "encouraged the Cartagena people to participate in this initiative since in the end, all the investments made will be beneficial for the city."
During the first hours of the open voting period, that is, until noon on Friday, 118 citizens voted their favorite projects, 27 on line and 91 in person, and of these last votes, 58 were neighbors of El Llano of the Beal.
Once the voting period has ended, the most voted proposals will be announced on December 21st.
In total, there are 146 technically feasible projects, determined by the Commission for Monitoring Participatory Budgets, which met last Wednesday.
The residents of the municipality can vote between 1 and 3 proposals, among all the proposals submitted, regardless of the district they belong to.
Face-to-face voting can be done in the OMITAS and in the citizen information office of the Administrative Building of San Miguel Street in the morning from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and in the social premises of the Neighborhood Associations during the hours of afternoon from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
In addition, extraordinary schedules are attached in some places and the opening of others to facilitate voting in certain points of Cartagena, which can be consulted in this link.
It can also be done online, through the citizen's folder or by using the digital certificate or electronic ID through this link.
Specifically, from district 1, 20 proposals have been admitted, from district 2, 11 proposals have been admitted, from district 3, 14 proposals have been admitted, from district 4, 35 proposals have been admitted, from district 5, 14 proposals have been admitted, from the district 6 18 proposals have been admitted and from the 7th district, 34 proposals have been accepted.
The rejected proposals have been rejected for not complying with the requirements specified in the proposed section of the participatory budgeting website.
Among the options proposed, the most voted in each district will be those executed in the budgets of the City of Cartagena until reaching the budget limit determined for that same district.
