The Paseo de Alfonso XIII will improve its appearance in the next few days, in the section between Juan de la Cosa and Plaza de Alicante, when the refurbishment works of the firm and the Ripoll captains roundabout are finished, in which it was installed a replica of the Peral Submarine.
This morning, the councilor of the area of Sustainable Development and Transparency, María José Soler;
the mayor of Government, José López, and the general coordinator of Sustainable Development, Jesús Giménez, have verified the progress of the work that is being undertaken.
In the case of the conditioning of the roundabout, the performance is valued at more than 120,000 euros and will allow the construction of a rectangular fountain, which will surround the submarine.
The rest of the roundabout will be filled with gravel up to the necessary level, allowing the drainage of its entire surface.

As for the asphalting of the road, the aediles have witnessed the start of work early this morning.
The work focuses on the section that runs from the Plaza de Alicante to the intersection with Juan De la Cosa street.
The works are expected to end next Tuesday, December 5.
To gain operational efficiency and minimize discomfort, it has been determined to act in phases:
Today, the traffic cut affects the exit lanes towards the A-30, in the section that runs between Plaza de Alicante and the intersection with Capitanes Ripoll.
On Monday begins a second phase in the referred section, but in the sense of the entrance lanes to Cartagena.
Finally, on Tuesday, December 5 will begin the last phase that affects the stretch between Capitanes and Ripoll and Juan de la Cosa street.
It will be done in both directions of circulation.
WORKS IN LICENCIADO CASACALES
On the other hand, Licensed Cascales Street and the Jabonerías section, in the vicinity of the Casa del Niño and the old school of Bazán, are already open to vehicular and pedestrian traffic before the December bridge, after the comprehensive regeneration works urbanistic
Within this project, the paving of the street has been renewed and the old sidewalks have been demolished, since they were in an advanced state of deterioration.
Among the improvement tasks, the road has been raised to the level of the sidewalk, so that a unique platform has remained.
It has been highlighted the presence of a singularity in the itinerary that induces the vehicles to reduce speed and that pedestrian traffic reaches greater prominence.
The project has meant the increase in the width of the sidewalks.
Of the two resulting sidewalks, the one with the greatest width (4 meters) has been provided with a line of trees, to have shade in this area and to favor the transit of pedestrians during the summer months.
Likewise, a shotcrete tile, less slippery, has been installed, and rainwater scuppers have been relocated to reduce surface runoff.
In addition, the containers have been re-folded in concrete to separate them from traffic and the pedestrian zone.
ADEQUACY OF THE ENVIRONMENT OF THE HOUSE OF THE CHILD
The works are completed with a series of actions in the environment of the Children's House, due to the interest of the Sustainable Development area to adapt such a significant location of the recent history of the municipality.
In addition to widening the access road to the school, the luminaires have also been replaced by LED lighting.
It only remains to execute the replacement of the furniture.
Throughout the coming week will install 4 banks, enabling a new public space for use by users of educational infrastructure, and paper.
A parking area has been left and the loading and unloading area has been enlarged to favor both the entry and exit of the school and the commercial activity.
The project, carried out by municipal technicians of the Department of Infrastructures, includes the installation of a 6-person parking area, to favor the use of this means of transport among citizens, thus continuing with the measures initiated by the municipal government from the area of Sustainable Development to improve sustainability in the municipality.
The water service network, the telecommunications network and the entire electrical installation have been renewed.
The planned actions give the site a uniform urban character and give continuity to adjacent spaces.
THE ADAPTATION OF LA ALAMEDA WILL BE BACK TO HIRING
Finally, it should be noted that within the works undertaken by the Department of Sustainable Development, that the adaptation of the Alameda de San Antón, which included among other actions its asphalting, must go back to recruitment.
This was confirmed yesterday afternoon in the full councilor of Finance, Isabel García.
The existence of water pipes in the area in which it was going to act and that obliged to make a modification of the initially awarded project, has advised to make this decision.
